| Capt. Ken Rafferty was born in New York City and moved out to East Hampton, N.Y. in 1968.
He started fishing commercially in 1971, pin-hooking for Striped Bass, and Bluefish from Plum Gut to Montauk Point, Long Island.
In his 30 plus years on the water he has fished for everything from Flounder, fluke and Porgies in Gardiner's Bay to Giant Tuna and Sharks 35 miles off shore.
In 1985 he started taking out charters in his 22 ft aquasport center console, fishing light tackle using 8 lb. test line and light to medium 7 ft rods and found the fishing to be just as rewarding as off shore fishing if not better!
Today the captain owns and operates a 22 ft Maverick Pathfinder
semi/ flatsboat with a poling platform, powered by a Yamaha 150 Vmax engine
This boat is ideal for Fly Fishing from an unobstructed deck and yet can handle up to (3) three anglers comfortably using light tackle.
The Pathfinder draws only 11" thereby allowing us to fish in very shallow water where we can sight fish on the flats.
It is equipped with a GPS/Chartplotter, Depth finder and VHF radio.
Capt. Ken Rafferty is licensed by the United States Coast Guard and is based in "Three Mile Harbor" East Hampton, New York
